Thank you to the societies and venues where I was able to exhibit this year.
It was my first year preparing for multiple exhibitions in the same month.
As I was one of the organizers on the show, I was able to plan well in advance for the Curator as Artist IV Exhibit at the Spencertown Academy Arts Center. In addition to my own 10 landscape paintings on display, the show included the work of six other artists: Karen Andrews, Munya Avigail Upin, Norma Cohen, David Lesako, Alice McGowan, and Amelia Toelke.
It was a diverse and colorful exhibition, featuring works in mixed media, precious metals, and oil, pastel and watercolor painting.
The second show I entered in November was a last-minute decision, but I am very glad I made it: the Plein Air 2025 show at Art on Main in West Stockbridge. This show was put on by the Guild of Berkshire Artist, and included only landscapes and nature-inspired works – primarily painting, with some photography and works in clay. I showed a total of eight works in this show.
By entering so many paintings, I was able to gauge reaction to my work, and was gratified to receive not only some very positive feedback, but some encouraging sales: A total of 8 works sold between the two exhibits.
